How can you celebrate International Women's Day?

International Women's Day is this Sunday, 8th March. There are some cool events happening around New Zealand to celebrate this day, so we've complied a list so you can see what's happening in a town near you and get involved! 

Auckland

4 March: Global Women Speaker Series: International Women's Day

Hear five remarkable speakers from diverse backgrounds and industries as they share their personal perspectives on the theme #EachforEqual and how they are each contributing to a more balanced world.

6 March: International Women's Day Breakfast

The panel will highlight the benefits of gender equality in the workplace and will explore case studies from New Zealand businesses that are leading the way. Panellists will discuss strategies to drive equality and explore the actions and behaviours that leaders can take to implement change.

8 March: Bowl & Arrow x Lululemon present: International Women's Day

A celebration of wellness, yoga, smoothie bowls and inspirational speakers.  

8 March: Silo Sessions: Milk and Honey

Following an outstanding debut year in 2019, M & H has returned to curate a stage for this FREE all ages outdoor gig at Auckland’s inner city oasis: Silo Park. The event will feature a huge lineup of female and non-binary artists & food trucks, plus games and the Silo Park bar from 12-6pm. 

 

Rotorua

6 March: International Women's Day Rotorua

This event's focus is about coming back to you. A gentle reminder that you're not a broken dish that needs to be fixed.

11 March: Dress for Success Donation Drive

Drop off your clothes, stay for refreshments, hear from inspirational speakers and celebrate women supporting women. There will be cake!

13 March: International Women's Day Breakfast Panel

The Institute of Managers and Leaders is hosting the International Women's Day Breakfast Panel, where we bring together a melting pot of New Zealand's most prominent leaders, personalities and experts.

 

Christchurch
