How do AWWA period underwear work?

AWWA period-proof underwear look and feel just like your normal underwear, but can absorb menstrual flow and stop leaks, thanks to our innovative fabric technology.

A soft, moisture-wicking organic cotton top layer draws fluid away from your skin and into the super-absorbent core, while the breathable, waterproof barrier prevents leaks. Our anti-microbial technology keeps you fresh and odor-free, all day long.

Are they ethically made?

AWWA underwear is manufactured by a company who provides ethical work conditions and takes environmental sustainability seriously. We spent a lot of time researching how and where our underwear is made. AWWA underwear is made in two factories in Sri Lanka and China. Both our partner factories pay a fair wage and have processes and practices in place to reduce their waste output, and source sustainable fabrics.

How do I wash my AWWA period underwear?

Simply rinse in cold water, then wash on a cold cycle with your normal clothes. Line dry. Don't use fabric softener as it prevents the moisture-wicking and anti-microbial technologies from working.

    I should've ordered these sooner!

    As the title says, wish I had ordered sooner. These are easy to wear and I felt protected the entire time. They are also very easy to clean. The only downside is the lining on the inside and where the seams fall - the one across the backside made it feel like my underwear was falling down all day and I could see the seam theoufh some of my thinner pants, but I became used to it by the third day. Looking forward to purchasing more of these!

    I always get nervous when purchasing underwear as I like a fair bit of coverage in the front typically high waisted, as I get anxious about my pouch in day to day let along being on my period and being bloated even more. Not only are these super comfortable they make me feel so confident and good when wearing them! They cover everything I want while making me feel confident in my skin whilst I’m on my period. 10/10 recommend, Awwa is the way to go, so much better than having a rash from a pad or it sticking to my legs etc, so much better for both myself and the environment! Win win, will definitely wear these even when I’m not on my period too
